The Importance of Balance

Intensive reading builds deep thinking, while extensive reading expands language sense and knowledge. Imbalanced reading limits true growth. True literacy is complete only when depth meets breadth.

Designed to complement the SR Test, the RTP Level Test adds Vocabulary and Listening sections to standard reading metrics. This 4-area assessment minimizes errors in level estimation (over/underestimation) often seen in AR tests. As a result, RTP provides a much more accurate diagnosis of a student's true reading ability.

Growth rates differ based on reading volume and individual pace. Typically, consistent reading of 12–15 books a month results in a 1-level increase over one year.

We use physical books for reading, supported by our app for learning activities.

1. Selection: Select a book from your portfolio, find it on the shelf, and go to a tablet seat.

2. Pre-Reading: Learn key vocabulary on the ReadingTouch app before opening the book.
